My Libby Timeline Continued – June 2023 through February 2023
Posted by terrepruitt on July 31, 2024
Ahhh this is a dump of my Libby Timeline. Five months from when I started listening to Libby in February 2023 through June 2023. I have other books on Audible I have listened to and some I listen to repeatedly. But Audible does not have a nice little timeline like Libby so I have no idea when I listened to what on Audible.
I often just look for “available now” and so I have ended up listening to some good books. If I can’t find anything then I usually end up listening to Project Hail Mary. I love that book and it is read by Ray Porter. I have listen to a few books that I only listened to because he read them. Just like there are some narrators you would have to pay me to listen to, I will listen to whatever he reads. He is my favorite.
So not only do I look for books by certain authors, I look for books read by certain narrators.
What about you? Do you have a favorite narrator? Who is your favorite author? What is your favorite genre?

Love Libby! Some of the wait times are months out though. I also use Hoopla.

I usually just look at books that are “available now”. I have discovered some books and authors I really enjoy. If I do put something on the hold most often by the time it comes up I forget why I even put it there . . . so, yeah, I guess it can be months out. But I don’t wait, there are so many “available nows”. Where does Hoopla get books? Libby can only supply me with books that my libraries have so yeah, sometimes there may be a wait.

Hoopla gets books and movies from my county library system.

I looked up Hoopla and from what I understand they have a system in place where you are allowed instant access to books in the number allotted by your library. With people have very limited time it is fabulous that they can have a book the instant they need it. As I mentioned, I am ok waiting. I have discovered many different books and authors because I just go for the “available now” books. Plus when I can’t find something I want I always go back to re-read/listen to my favorites. I am going to pass on the Hoopla information for some of my friends that don’t like to wait, so thank you.
