Flashing

Since Apple did away with the home button in 2016, I figured that I could do a quick update since “flashing” is still a thing and it is still needed. My post regarding “flashing” is from 2011. I should have written this seven years ago, but, sometimes, better late than never. Sometimes an iPhone needs to have its PRAM cleared.
Flashing the phone is not the same as putting it to sleep and waking it up nor is it the same as turning it off and on again. When you flash an iPhone it resets the Parameter Random Access Memory also known as PRAM and it can get things working properly again.
To flash your iPhone you have to be kinda fast. In quick succession press the up volume button, then the down volume button then hold the sleep button down until you see the Apple logo. Let me repeat – HOLD the sleep button down UNTIL YOU SEE THE APPLE LOGO. Don’t turn the phone off, just hold the button and then when you see the logo you can let go. You are just quickly pressing the volume buttons, but you are HOLDING the sleep button.
Also, another thing you can do that might help any kinks get unkinked, try closing all of your app every once in awhile. I feel like I have heard the claim that this does nothing, but I know my phone can be acting weird and then I see I have 20 things open and when I close them it seems to work better.
Anyway . . . . I just thought I would put this out there because I know that many people have done it and it works.
Are you familiar with “flashing” Apple devices?
