May Flowers
Posted by terrepruitt on August 2, 2019
Here are some roses that we brought in from our yard roses. I am always so happy with our roses because they are just miracles that grow on their own. I love to bring them in, but I also love to look out and see the bushes full of roses.

Do you cut your roses and bring them in or leave them outside?

Great colors. Do yours have a good fragrance?
We don’t have roses. But our neighbor had been cutting and giving us gladiolus for inside. Which I love.

Yes, great colors. They make me happy. Yes! They smell great. Sometimes they make the entire downstairs smell like roses! Gladiolus are fabulous. So nice of your neighbor to share. What color were they?

Awesome yours have a scent. Some don’t. I like smelling the ones in my neighbors’ front yards.
The gladiolus are a variety of colors, with most being a dual color combo of purple/white, burgundy/white and orange/white. They’re stunning. So grateful my neighbor has shared them with me.

Some don’t. When I buy roses they don’t seem to smell good. But it seems homegrown ones smell good.
WOW! The gladiolus sound gorgeous. You have a nice neighbor!

Nope. Store bought roses don’t usually seem to have that lovely rose scent. Like greenhouse tomatoes don’t have that lovely tomatoe flavor.
He’s been generous.

Exactly. The roses are BIG, but they don’t have any rose scent. And tomatoes . . . . I didn’t even know I liked tomatoes until I ate some from a garden!
Just like so many things, seems like homegrown/homemade is better!
