2020 Christmas Decorations
Posted by terrepruitt on December 28, 2020
I was starting to get sad because I was thinking I needed to take the decorations down. I just start feeling like I need to take them down after Christmas and I don’t. If it weren’t for the Christmas tree in my yoga/Nia/stretch studio (AKA: living room) no one would know how long we have the decorations up. I like to keep them up as long as possible. I think we can make it. The Epiphany is NEXT Wednesday! I can start disassembling on Thursday after class my stretch class. That way I can have about two and half days to get things packed up and allow my hubby Sunday to put it all back up. We will see. I guess I can breathe easy and no need to get sad yet. I have almost two weeks left. YAY! By THEN I will be ready to take it down. 🙂
And now . . . I am sharing it with you. IF you have seen some of my previous years’ Christmas posts some of these ornaments will look familiar! Scroll down, and keep scrolling, and keep scrolling, and keep scrolling . . . I might have gotten carried away. 🙂
Merry Christmas. (I can eeek it out one more day!)
Which are you:
1) take down the tree December 26th?
2) wait until after Epiphany
3) take it down when it is dry and needs to go?

Yeah, and then is it the day after or are you not in a hurry? Usually weekends are a more convenient for us. Especially now since I can’t have the decorations taken down, but all over the living room. Ha!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Oh, niiiice. My husband does the lights outside . . . which I love, but I do everything inside. He used to help with the tree, but he hasn’t in a long time.

You wouldn’t bother taking them down or putting them up?

Well, that must be why your husband does it. I love ’em. Tonight I was just looking at my tree and all the lights and completely enjoying it. I love Christmas decorations. Totally worth it (putting them up) to me. You are lucky you have someone that does it and you get to enjoy the fruits of his labor! Happy New Year!

Thanks for sharing. I always leave my Christmas decorations up til after the Epiphany. How can anyone take them down before the 3 Wise Men show up with their gifts?

Well, some people put them up before Thanksgiving so they might be in a rush to take them down. Some people have Christmas packed up the day after Christmas. Your question made me laugh!
Happy New Year, Donna!

Your tree is very pretty, and so are your decorations! We put up two trees every year, an artificial one in the living room which stays up until after Epiphany (technically, the twelve days of Christmas goes from Christmas Eve or Day to January 6), and a real one in the basement that we take down when it begins to get a little dry. That way, we can enjoy the best of both worlds! Plus, I have a ton of ornaments and like to hang them all.

TWO trees. That is what I need. I need to have two trees just so I can put up all my ornaments. But I usually don’t like the needles from one tree much less two, but this year our Special Guy has hardly shed a needle. He is awesome! He isn’t very fragrant, but he is hasn’t shed much either. And when I decorated I stuck my hand all the way in to the truck to put on one strand of lights and he barely even shed then. And now . . . . NO NEEDLES on the floor. I did hear an ornament drop yesterday while I was teaching. It didn’t fall all the way down, but it is stuck in there somewhere. I can see myself with an artificial tree more and more. Decorating would be so fast and easy!
I love my fellow keep-up-the-tree people. YAY for us that love to enjoy the beauty of the season as long as we can! Thanks for sharing, Ann! Happy New Year!
