Trees Are Not Symmetrical

Posted by terrepruitt on December 27, 2022

YEARS ago I bought a project to do that required wine corks and I asked everyone to save the corks for me. Well, saving them has become a habit and I have saved and received a lot of wine corks. I wanted to do something with them and so I created a couple of things this year with the wine corks. Here is one wine cork Christmas tree. I wanted it to be asymmetrical, I wanted it to be able to lay flat for easier storage.  I also wanted the tree to be removable from the base. The idea is to turn each row of branches to help it look more like a tree. I mean, really, trees are not symmetrical so why do I think the ones I make have to be? I tried to let this one just BE. I like it, but I realize that I often inflict my “crafty” ideas on my friends. I know I am fortunate they love me.

I even like the way it looks from the top.

Oh, and by the way . . . I have not yet done the original project that I started saving wine corks for. I really should get to that!

Keep up the good work! You’re making up for people like me who have no crafty ability whatsoever!

    • 🙂 Thanks. I am not sure I have the “ability”, but I have the drive to make stuff. I just saw something else I can’t wait to try. The problem is I don’t have a lot of people to gift things to. Happy Holidays!
