On The Seventh Day Of Christmas

Posted by terrepruitt on December 31, 2024

Here we are, the seventh day of the 12 Days of Christmas. And it is New Year’s Eve. It is going to be 2025 tomorrow. Wow. Here is another picture of our Christmas Tree. The star topper is just plain, but it tends to catch the light and make lovely reflections on the wall. I bought a new one this year (a metal gold star) so this may be the last year for this plastic one. We will see. But this is a delightful shot of it.

Happy New Year!

The shadow and the reflection are more visible than the topper itself.

  2. Hey Terre your Christmas tree looks great.

It is now 9th January and me tree will remain up until this weekend since we have dinner guests this Friday.

My tree is artificial and 6ft tall. I keep trying to find one that is just a little taller but most have too wide a diameter for our living room.

The majority of people in the UK still prefer artificial trees over real ones, though the sale of real ones has increased in recent years.

When do you take your tree down? My mum used take the family Christmas tree down just before January 6th being the Twelfth day of Christmas but I have a friend who kept their Christmas tree up all year!

    • Hello! We don’t have a set day/date as to when we take our trees down. It always depends on the tree, what is going on, and when the weekend falls. I was entertaining the thought of having it down this weekend, but we will see. I took some ornaments off of it yesterday with a plan, but then realized my plan may not work with my box-getter-down person. I kinda have to work with his schedule, too. I hear a lot of people keep their tree up all year or at least way into the year. Does’t work with “real” trees. Although ours is doing very well.
