Movie Repeats

I once posted about Movie Traditions, movies you may watch at certain times of the year.  There are a ton of Christmas movies that fit that bill.  Many people have movies they watch at Christmas time.  My husband and I don’t have movie traditions but we do have movies that we have watched a lot.  There are so many movies we have yet to see but sometimes it is just easier for us to pick a movie to watch that we know we like.  And sometimes we are just half watching.  Sometimes watching something new takes more concentration then we want to give, so we will just pop on a beloved movie.

Here is a list of some in no particular order:

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)

That Christmas (perhaps this will become a Christmas tradition?)

I don’t even realize how old some of these movies are because we watch them frequently enough they seem like “current releases”.  The Birdcage is from 1996 and The Fifth Element is from 1997.

Movie Traditions

Do you have any movies that you watch over the Holidays? Or movies that you watch for specific events? Last night my husband came home and he said, “Do you want me to wait or should I start the movie without you?” I had forgotten the date so I didn’t know what he was talking about, then he said, “It’s the 5th.” As he was saying it I realized what day it was and what we were going to watch. We had talked about it on Saturday. So we watch V For Vendetta on the 5th of November.

I am listen to a book and their family tradition is to watch Planes, Trains and Automobiles on Thanksgiving. I know, from posts on Facebook from my friends that some people watch Love Actually over the Christmas Holiday.
