Healing Stones
Posted by terrepruitt on March 4, 2010
Recently I have become curious about healing stones. I am wanting to learn more about Chakras and in doing some research about them I came across information about colors and gemstones that heal. It is all very interesting to me. I am at the point where I believe that everything holds energy. But how or if that energy transfers over from stones and has the power to heal, I am still iffey on that.
I have come up with ideas and reason where I can comfortably accept that this is possible so, I figured why not get some pretty jewelry to boot.
Here is my first piece of chakra jewelry. I have been told that silver has strong healing properties, but I just don’t wear silver, so in my search to find something that I would wear that was under $70.00, I found this. I thought it was gorgeous, so when I saw that it was under $30.00 I figured that I was meant to have it. I had been looking for weeks, so I was so excited to find this. When I received it, I was not disappointed.
CROWN CHAKRA: Amethyst for spiritual awareness, meditation & transformation
BROW CHAKRA: Sodalite for higher knowledge, intuition, wisdom
THROAT CHAKRA: Blue Agate for courage, strength, acceptance
HEART CHAKRA: Malachite for balance, peace, healing
SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA: Aragonite for truth, mental and emotional stability
PELVIC CHAKRA: Peace aventurine for prosperity, success & creativity
ROOT CHAKRA: Poppy Jasper for healing, grounding, and completion.
I believe it is actually “gold plated” wire, but it is awesome. I will continue to research this information and post as I learn and go along.

This is so weird (or maybe it isn’t) that I just ran across your blog on the comment section of another blog…I have been researching healing stones recently. I wanted to blog about a necklace (feldspar/also labradorite) that was given to me years ago. I have never tried meditation but have a friend who has told me that I should try it, and I’ve been looking up info about chakras etc… as a massage therapist had continually commented on my “third eye” being quite strong and my “lovely aura” and I got a little spooked because I did not understand what she was telling me. Anyway, I find your blog interesting. So you mind sharing where you purchased the necklace if it was online because I probably do not live i your area.

That is funny (really it is), that you said, “This is so weird (or maybe it isn’t)” So funny. Because things do happen for a reason so . . . . that made me laugh.
Well, then, I just popped over to your blog and what I read made me laugh. You are funny. I am halfway through reading the name blog. Too funny.
Anyway, I am just trying to learn about chakras and healing stones and all that, so maybe we can help each other learn. I don’t know where you are. I don’t even know where joz is. But I did get my necklace off of the internent and I really like it. They have a lot of other pretty stuff too, most of it in silver.
I got it from: MountainValleyCenter.com It looks like it is a co-op of some sort or something. If you end up buying something let me know.
Thank you for stopping by and for commenting. I appreciate both!

Aha, my blog title…you can read my post called “Daddy was a Dowser”…explains it. I am at testing the water stage…unsure what it is all about. I am sensitive (too much) and intuitive but also filled with faith with I think at times conflict one another. It’s hard to pass off old ideaologies. My good friend Karal (The Orange Chair on my blog roll) recently moved to CA, La and now Ojai. Anyway, she has been doing Yoga for quite a while. I have such static that I am unable to meditate, but at the same time I am actually at an inner peace in my life. I am going to check out the web sight with the jewelry. Thanks.

Ha! I thought you were psychic because for a moment I did wonder about the name of your blog and I didn’t remember asking about it. So then I had to figure out why you were saying that . . . . so I re-read my comment and I get it now. I had mentioned being half through the name blog, when I actually meant the name POST, and it was the “What were the parents . . .” one. I didn’t finish reading it before I replied to your first comment. Then I went back.
Dowsing (is that right?) I didn’t really think was real, but I guess it is just like the names some parents give their children—you gotta see it to believe it! 🙂
Maybe Karal’s next stop will be North, San Jose. 🙂

Hi there
Gosh, I love “co-incidences”. My husband’s currently doing a series of postings on chakras, including the related stones, on our blog (www.ForesightYourCtPsychic.wordpress.com)You’re welcome to come visit and learn if you like.
As to stones, they can be healing or helping, but you need to pay attention because sometimes they can be too much of a good thing.
For instance, amethyst boosts psychic ability. Well and good, unless you’re someone who’s already very psychically sensitive, like the person who posted above, and haven’t developed good shields yet. That amethyst extra psychic boost can leave you too open, feeling twitchy and without personal boundaries.
Not enough space to go into this all in a comment. Got questions? Come visit our blog and ask- we’re glad to teach what we know
