Colorful Bottle Tree
Posted by terrepruitt on July 19, 2019
Some friends visited from out of town and stayed in Santa Cruz not far from the ocean. I have many photos from the delightful yard that I will be posting. It was a colorful and very fun yard!
Here is a bottle tree for the Friday Photo.

Never heard or seen a bottle tree before. Does it have a purpose or is it merely decorative?

The purpose is to provide pleasure for its owners. I sometimes have the opportunity to be the pleasure of being in the possession of a BEAUTIFUL bottle and would love the opportunity to display it.
I have coveted bottle tress for a long time but we have so much in our yard, and it is small, I have not purchased one. But this one has made me re-thing my hesitation! It is beautiful, don’t cha think?

Absolutely but wasn’t sure whether it had another purpose. I did see a massive bottle tree in Spain, the size of a Xmas tree, made from bottles. It was spectacular.

Well, and it actually it very well COULD have another purpose, I don’t know. It is not my yard and I don’t know of another purpose for them. For me it would be to allow me to save the bottles I think are pretty but not have them in the house. Although, that doesn’t meant they wouldn’t need to be cleaned. Sometimes things in our yard get so dirt they end up looking icky instead of pretty.
Oooo! I bet the one in Spain had some REALLY gorgeous bottles on it! WOW! How fun!
