Someone gave me a box of microwave popcorn that someone gave her. I think it is the Skinny brand or something. I would have never bought it myself but she doesn’t eat popcorn and knew that I did. I took this picture because it pops up perfectly with hardly any left over kernels. And it has the perfect amount of salt. I sometimes put nutritional yeast on popcorn. This picture makes me smile because I love popcorn and I have missed it. I try not to make it because the smell bothers my hubby. Here is a bowl of beautiful popcorn for today’s Friday Photo.

I love these glass night lights. I’ve always wanted one, but think it is a lot to pay for a night light. But not so much for art! So, I splurged and decided to keep it up all year. Well, at least not just at Christmas. I have a couple of night lights so I will probably switch them up throughout the year, but I am not regulating this one to ONLY Christmastime. She is so sweet! This is just grass or even weeds, and to some it may not be a big thing, but here in dry brown California, it is beautiful. I love the green of winter. It will not be that way for long and as I was walking down the street it struck me how green it was and what a huge patch of green it was. So, I took a picture. I will look at it during the dry brown months. Starting off the year with a picture of greenery for the Friday Photo.

This was from December 3rd. I think it took me at least three more days to finish decorating the Christmas tree. There are just so many Christmas ornaments and not many places to put them. We have been enjoying it.

This is our 2024 Christmas Tree. This is the “Lights Only Stage”. There is a cat under it. We put our tree by a window and windows are a place for cats. So it is just easier to have it on a table. That way the cats still have access to the window and we are not having to clean up needles that they may knock off while getting to the window.

In 2022 the Wharf in Capitola was ripped in half by a storm. It has been rebuilt and was reopened in September of 2024. The arch has been changed a bit. My hubby and I used to go to breakfast at Avenue Cafe then spend Thanksgiving morning downtown, but we hadn’t been in five or six years. We went this year. It was a beautiful day – Thanksgiving 2024.
