December 30 Minute Movement Challenge – Day #28

So glad you are back.  We are almost through the entire year of 2012.  Can you believe it?  Amazing.  Every year’s passing is amazing.  I hope that you are finishing it out feeling good about doing 30 minutes of exercise/movement for 31 days!  Yes?

This is what my calendar looks like.  What about yours?

Dance Exercise, Nia, Nia at the City of San Jose, Nia classes in the South Bay, Nia Teacher, Nia Class, San Jose Nia, Nia San Jose, Nia workout, Nia, Zumba

    So I did my 30 minutes doing leg lifts to help my knee…does that count??? Have a blessed New Year my friend!!!

    • 🙂 Whatever YOU want to count as 30 minutes counts. This was not a very specific challenge regarding WHAT to do in the 30 minutes, it was just to encourage 30 minutes of MOVEMENT. So, to me, yes, leg lifts count. I was just hoping that “regular” movement was not counted. Regular as in doing the dishes, changing the sheets, or getting dressed, but ADDITIONAL movement. So I was wanting to not count my Nia classes that I teach so much since that is “regular” to me. But there were a bunch of days where I did. 🙂

    Feeling really good. Yesterday I thought I might do 60 minutes, today I did it. 30 minute work out video and 30 minutes on my treadmill. Through this challenge I have certainly moved my own workout up a couple notches on the priority list – and will struggle to keep it there once school starts up again… Enjoying the winter lazy winter break days with my kids. Homeschooling is such a huge challenge for me. What is going on, I hit mid life and decide to take on more living, wahoo!!

    • Yay! I am glad you are feeling really good. That is awesome. The hour movement is terrific. Yay you! You said a key thing . . . . the workout has to be a priority! I didn’t realize school stopped. I didn’t even think about there being a vacation from it. That is why I have not been calling in the morning . . . . I was waiting until after “school”.

      That is cute, “hit mid life and decide to take on more living”!
