Not Ready To Give Up

Posted by terrepruitt on January 8, 2022

ARGH!  I thought I posted this on Friday, but Saturday I see that I didn’t.  So I am posting my Friday Photo on Saturday.  (*eye roll*, I know, I know.)

I wasn’t very into to decorating this year as I usually am. But since we got a tree and took everything down from storage, I did put up some decorations. Not as many lights as usual but some, plus the new metal tree. And now, of course, I don’t want to take it down. I like the lights – for one, and for two, I just don’t want to deal with it all – part of the reason I didn’t want to put it up in the first place. Now if I weren’t teaching and the tree wasn’t in the “studio” it wouldn’t be so bad, but since my students see my tree . . . . oh well. It went up late last year, I will take my time taking it down.  I was using the Twelve Days of Christmas as the excuse. The tree is not completely dead and scary so we will eek out a few more days.

The Christmas Tree as a Friday Photo in January! Can’t promise it will be the last as I just found another one I really like.

There are a lot of people around here who still have their Christmas lights on every night. I finally managed to get the rest of mine put away today. 😊

    • I saw a tweet this morning that said something like, For those of you that still have your Christmas lights up – THANK YOU. We need the cheer. It was cute, I thought she was going to gripe at them, but instead it was a thank you. Ha. I should have used the weekend to put things away, but . . . meh! It will get done when it gets done. Some people adhere to a schedule, we don’t. 🙂 Good for you getting it done!
