This is the Little Blue Bird of Happiness. He is little and he does make me happy. A friend gave me this. It came with a little piece of paper. I kept the paper, of course, but I don’t know where it is, of course. But I am pretty sure it talked about the Blue Bird of Happiness. This guy is so cute. He is no bigger than a dime. He is TINY. He is so cute, he does make me happy. I had him on the counter, but my husband suggested I put him elsewhere. Just in case our cats were somewhere they shouldn’t be doing something they shouldn’t be doing. That could result in the loss of my little bird. He is so cute!
What do you think of my little bird? I thought it would be a nice Friday Photo.

I looked outside this morning when a squirrel came to ask for nuts. When I looked outside I saw this beauty. I told myself that I needed to remember to take a picture of it. I was thinking I would use it for my Friday Photo today. Then I thought I shouldn’t do that because I just did a flower photo. But, I didn’t JUST post a flower photo, it was two weeks ago. And it IS the season. And I did say that I would be posting a lot of flowers, cats, and birds . . . so . . . here ya go. A beautiful rose from our yard. I decided to cut it and bring it inside.

Ha! I’ve been holding onto this one for a long time. I took this back in September of 2014. See what I mean about having photos that I want to post, but don’t know where. I remember having noticed this – it looks like a heart to me – because there had been a slew of pictures from people seeing hearts in things. I was so excited to have finally seen one. But then when I looked at it as I was going to post it I thought I was really reaching to see a heart. What do you think?
Well, it is at least worthy of a Friday Photo.

I don’t know how to trim rose bushes. I don’t know how and I don’t know when. I know there is a specific time of the year to do it and I know there is a way to do it. I just go out there when the bush is looking ugly and bothering me and I hack at it. My hubby grabs the dead roses and just pulls them off, but I like to cut them off. Recently it was looking rather wild so last week I went out and cut off the dead roses and some of the dead branches. Then we were gone over the weekend and we came back to a rose bush explosion! So excited. I went out and cut some roses off to bring inside. So we have roses in the house. And the bush still has a lot, so we have roses outside. I love our roses. So I am sure this will not be the only Friday Photo of them.
As I said in the beginning; there will be a lot of cats, birds, and flowers.

This was taken early last year, it was not yet spring. I was so surprised at how pretty this bush was that I took a picture. I don’t go into that yard much — actually ever, it seems. I mean, I actually don’t think I have been in it since I took this picture. Seriously. Ok, so I just went to the yard and looked at it. Because I really hadn’t since last February. The plant/bush is still there, in fact it looks larger, but it does not have any blooms at this time. I am glad I caught it in full bloom. It really is lovely.
Look at that, two “springey” looking pictures in a row for my Friday Photo. Even though this one was technically from winter and it was last year. I still like it. I hope you enjoy it, too!

We ended up getting a good amount of rain over the last few months. And here it is Spring. This is the tree in our front yard. I took this last week. Today it is not bright and blue. The driveway looks like it has snowed a little bit with all of the fallen petals. The yard smells great. Big large balls of blossoms.
Blossoming tree for this week’s Friday Photo.

Ahh, these are two teas that I love. I have been drinking more tea than coffee lately. I am not a morning person so on days I teach Nia I usually just get up in time enough to play with the cats for a bit, figure out what I am teaching in Nia (if I haven’t done it the night before), and get ready and go. I don’t get up early enough to sit have breakfast and a cup of coffee. Since on most days I either teach yoga or stretch right after Nia, I don’t get home until after noon. And if I have errands to run it is even later in the day. For me drinking coffee that late is just not good – it doesn’t allow me to get to bed in the same day that I got up. So I drink decaffeinated tea. There are two of my favorites. I cannot say whether they actually help with my immune system or stress, but I like them. Although, my dad had a lot of tea so recently I have actually been drinking some of the ones he had. One is a Chai, which has caffeine. And the other is Ginger, which is decaffeinated, and rather nice. These are still two of my favs.
Tea for my Friday Photo. Do you have a favorite tea? What is it?

Have you ever been out to eat and they put flowers on your food? Well, these are from that. But I don’t remember where we were. I just remember loving the orchids and wanting to keep ’em. So I put them in this bowl so that we could enjoy them for a little longer. This picture is actually from August 2015. As I said, I started this feature because sometimes I have pictures that I want to post and they could be old ones.
So here are some orchids in a bowl from 2015 for this Friday’s Friday Photo.

Last year we saw a play. It was good. It was a two-person play. Those are always interesting. It was called The Velocity of Autumn. A friend had given us tickets. It was at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. We had planned for a lot of traffic, and surprisingly there wasn’t as much as we had thought, so we arrived very early at the theater. They weren’t even letting people in. So we walked around a bit. I liked this sculpture that was on the grounds. I chose to think of them as children dancing through the flowers, although it does look like they are walking. But it could just be part of the dance. I thought I would share it as a Friday Photo.

Isn’t this cute? I received this from a friend and Nia student for Christmas last year. She found the little purses and filled them with lavender. They are really cool because the top is velcro so the lavender can be replaced when needed. I just love it so much. I thought it was so cute I wanted to post it. The sequins make it sparkly and you know that I love the sparkles!
I am sharing this cuteness as my Friday Photo. How was your Friday?
