Tea Favorites

Ahh, these are two teas that I love. I have been drinking more tea than coffee lately. I am not a morning person so on days I teach Nia I usually just get up in time enough to play with the cats for a bit, figure out what I am teaching in Nia (if I haven’t done it the night before), and get ready and go. I don’t get up early enough to sit have breakfast and a cup of coffee. Since on most days I either teach yoga or stretch right after Nia, I don’t get home until after noon. And if I have errands to run it is even later in the day. For me drinking coffee that late is just not good – it doesn’t allow me to get to bed in the same day that I got up. So I drink decaffeinated tea. There are two of my favorites. I cannot say whether they actually help with my immune system or stress, but I like them. Although, my dad had a lot of tea so recently I have actually been drinking some of the ones he had. One is a Chai, which has caffeine. And the other is Ginger, which is decaffeinated, and rather nice. These are still two of my favs.
Tea for my Friday Photo. Do you have a favorite tea? What is it?

I switched to tea recently…I’ve been drinking a lazy version of a “London fog” – earl grey tea with warmed milk and a bit of vanilla.

So is a London Fog a specific type of tea drink? What is the “non-lazy” way? I guess you could say I’ve been drinking the lazy Tai Chai Latte. Instead of the recipe on here – doing it in a pot – I just steep a tea bag in my mug then sprinkle the spices in – no measuring – then add a little milk. 🙂
I love coffee, but I really do feel I sleep better when I don’t have it. I do drink caffeinated tea when I feel it is early enough. 🙂

A London fog is earl grey with warmed milk and vanilla syrup (or vanilla extract and sweetener). Lazy = warming the milk in the microwave vs the way a cafe would steam the milk. We have a milk steamer at work, I just haven’t learned to use it yet. 🙂

Ha. I have never heard of it. I don’t even know if I like earl grey. Yeah, the Chai Tea Latte I make is the “lazy” way too. I don’t do it separate in a pot, I just do it all in the mug. And it taste different everyday because I don’t measure the spices.

There IS a tea for everything so it is not surprising that you have one for everything. But do you have a FAVORITE?
