These bloom every year. They are so beautiful. My husband’s mom gave them to him to look after while she was away. Sadly, she was not able to return to take them back. They are a great reminder of a beautiful mother. This was taken at the end of April. They stayed until the middle of May.

Last month my husband and I decided we need some ocean time. We went up to Capitola for breakfast. I was looking forward to sitting on the beach and enjoying the ocean. But we just had breakfast and took a walk to the wharf then headed home. It was a very short little visit. It was a very nice day.

Oh! Babies! I just ran across these pictures! Last year I heard a lot of chirping coming from our little front yard that I never go into. So I went to see what all the commotion was about. BABIES! There was about six babies looking as if they were just getting bold enough to venture about. I watched them for a long time. Then I went and got my phone/camera. When I came back they noticed me and most of them teetered off. They were so cute! I managed to get two of them.

I love our roses. Yeah, I post about them a lot. I take pictures of them on the rose bush. I cut them and bring them in. I take pictures of them in vases. I love them. I was talking to a friend recently who, when I suggested she put roses in her yard, said they are a lot of work. I suppose if you take care of them properly they are. But I don’t know how to properly take care of a rose bush. I am not a gardener. I just like to look at them and cut them and bring them in. That seems to be enough so far.

I was looking through some photos to try to find one to post for my Friday Photo today and I found this. It is a little confusing to me because I am not recognizing the view or the angle. But the picture next to it dated the same day is one I recognize so this one just must be an angle I have not taken before.
See the little black dots? Those are birds. I like this shot. I thought it was a good share for a Friday Photo.

My husband was doing some yard work recently and he found an abandoned old nest. I think he found it in the star jasmine. Our star jasmine had grown around the metal supports that were supposed to be holding it up. Twisted around them and pulled them out of the ground. I think that is what happened. He cut it all down very low and during that process found this. Those are nuts or seeds in the nest, not eggs. I should have taken the picture with something to show scale, but it was not tiny. It was the size of about a softball or a baseball.

Oooooohhhhh! A very talented friend of mine . . . she makes all types of things . . . made angels this past Christmas. And she sent me this blue one. Isn’t she beautiful? I love her and while she would make a lovely Christmas Tree ornament, I think I will have her hang around all year round. Thanks you, SuziCate!

Here is Teagan. She is a very pretty kitty. She has green eyes. They change color from green to yellow. Do most green eyes do that? I know a couple of people who have green eyes and they say their eyes change color, too. I don’t think Nessa’s change, but Teagan’s do. Sometimes you can see the yellow and the green at the same time. She likes to play but not as actively as her sister. She is a great cat!

Ahhhh. A rose from my sweetie. He is very good at making roses out of paper napkins. I wonder if I could do a blog post about it. I could record him making it and he could talk us through it? Hmmmm. Sounds like an idea. I will have to see what he says about it.

Ooooo! One of my husband’s co-workers was in Mexico and brought us back this bowl. Beautiful, huh? At first I had it on my counter with fruit in it. But then I realized I couldn’t SEE the super pretty part of the bowl when it has stuff in it. So I have moved it to my dining room table and there is nothing in it. Now I can see it when I walk by. It is so lovely. I wanted to share our beautiful bowl for my Friday Photo post.
